The patriarchal underbelly of the spiritual coaching industry

I think when we’re marketing online, it’s important to ask ourselves, “How do I want to make people feel?”

I know, I know…

This goes against the whole “I’m empowered, I don’t care what people think, it doesn’t matter how I make people feel, it matters I speak my truth!” kind of vibe.

But here’s where I’m coming from…

I want to help people to feel like they’re already good enough. Right here right now. I want to help people ADORE themselves, and the Source light within them.

The thing is: I see a lot of people posting from a shadow place... That shadow WANTS to feel good enough, so the ego overemphasizes what it thinks makes it loveable ~ and ends up making people feel diminished when they post ~ ego speaking to ego.

For example… this vibe is really in right now…

“OMG I made $20k this month!! Look at my amazing life right now! Oh my god don’t you kind of wish you were me living this life??? No problem just sign up for my course!”

Now… the person sharing in this vibe may deep down want to serve people, and support people. And I’m not saying that all people who share their wins + amazing numbers are coming from this place.

However… a lot of them are, if we’re being real.

When we look at how this energy might make people feel, the answer may be…

It will likely make people feel like they haven’t accomplished enough, and they need to make some moves to be anywhere other than where they are. Where they are isn’t good enough. They need to change their life.

I believe that it’s this subconscious, and not so subconscious message that’s been at the foundation of patriarchal marketing.

“You’re not where you should be ~ buy this and that will change.”

So it’s not surprising these deeply ingrained templates are carrying into the spiritual coaching realm.

That’s why I said… I think it’s important we pause and ask,”How would I like people to feel in my presence?”

Is our marketing coming from a place of true empowerment ~ to likewise activate a place of true empowerment in our audience?

Or is it ego speaking to ego?

I’m not saying we need to diminish ourselves, or not share our wins. I’m saying… how can we communicate in a way that also respects that the person is just as gorgeous and beautiful and powerful as we are, in this now moment?

How can we speak in a way that highlights our unity, our power, and our shared inherent abundance?

Personally I’m really interested in conversations that uplift all beings. I’m ready to see the fall of hierarchal based programming and marketing.

Everyone does it differently

🌻 Recently I read a post from a business coach, sharing that she makes her money through her call calendar... meaning, the free calls she gives out to potential paying clients. She relies on those calls to make her money.

🌻 I know another (multi-millionaire) coach, that *never* offers free calls, and hasn't for years. Her offers sell like hotcakes.

This is just one of SoOOooO many examples, that highlight: everyone does it differently.

🌻 Some swear by FB ads.

🌻 Some use YouTube.

🌻 Some write guest posts for online publications.

🌻 Some work Instagram, and learn how to use it effectively.

When we're paying attention to 10 different coaches, who grow their business in 10 different ways, it can get overwhelming.

But here's the thing... the strategy part of growing your business is not the most important part. 

Your energetics are. 🦄

Once you embody energetics that are open to receive, open to money, open to clients, and open to divine inspiration... The right strategy for YOU, comes through.

That's why most of my work with clients is working on their energy field.

You can try all the damn strategies in the world, but if your energy field says "I'm not worthy, I don't really believe that this will work." then... Poop. 💩

So, I suggest:

💎 Spend time shifting your wealth consciousness (I have a free course for that, join it here)

💎Ask your Higher Self to fill your cells and chakras, daily, so you can vibrate with divine energy + prosperity

💎 Say "God, USE ME!" often, and meditate, to vibe out on how the Divine wants you to serve

From there... You'll be more connected to your inner guidance, so you'll know. Ohh.. IG feels fun to me! Or.. FB groups feel ideal! Etc.

And from there, the energetics of your field will be what magnetizes clients to you. The strategy is the inspired action that came through, once you got aligned. 💓

To give a f*ck about a pretty Instagram feed, or not... That is the question!

For years, I've gone back and forth on creating a beautiful and coordinated instagram feed - and brand - overall.

Sometimes I have so much fun creating imagery - using colours and symbols that just make my inner child go... Yayyyyyyy 😄

Other times, I go all rebellious and 'fuck the system-y' and say: "Whatevz, I have a message to say and this dark, grainy, selfie can go along with it 'cause I don't need to be a perfect, glossy, primed Priestess."

Well... Let me tell you a magical story that might have solved my conundrum once and for all.

I was meditating on the 12-12 portal, when Archangel Metatron came through. After telling me many a thing, 'he' turned his focus to my business, and imagery.

He said, when I share the imagery, colours, and the essence of my soul vibration - that is how I magnetize soul-mate clients to me. Because they are of a similar soul resonance, and feel themselves in my work.

I've known for a long time, lilac and turquoise are my JAM! Any time I see those colours, I go cray. Never mind when I see them TOGETHER! 🤩 I'm also deeply connected to mermaids, whales, dolphins, the ocean, and crystals.

So I was shown, when I share imagery that contains these frequencies, not only am I making my soul vair vair happy, I'm also making it clear to my soul family, and soul-mate clients, when they land on my feed or website... "This is for you! This IS you!" 🐬

So... rather than get all in your head about how to present yourself online... What if you took Archangel Metatron's advice?

What colours and symbols does your soul resonate with? What if you used those as the primary frequencies in your branding?

Would that feel authentic and fun? Would you LOVE seeing your feed, not because it was perfect according to some marketing guru's standards... but because it was in fact, perfect for your soul, and your soul-mate clients?

How to get people to actually read / watch your content…

I often see videos, blog posts, and emails from amazing people sharing really great information...

With really boring titles.

The title is THE thing that will get someone that you can serve, to click on that piece of content.

If you're sharing your heart + soul work online, through FB lives, through e-mails, through blog posts, through anything with a title...

Take a moment to craft that title. Make us want to read it, or watch it.

Titles like:

~ The power of compassion

~ Self-love is important

~ I like to start my day with yoga

...Are boring.

Sorry not sorry. They just are.

People know compassion has power, people know self-love is important, people know that you can start your day with yoga. There is nothing new, exciting, intriguing, or curiosity-inducing about any of that.

Here are some ideas of how you can spice up your titles, so the people you can serve actually click:

1. PEAK CURIOSITY.

Ie. "A common 'mistake' most yogis make in practice..." - or "I never knew about this, but when I figured it out my confidence soared!" --- You see how we are instantly all like... "OooOO... what are they talking about?!" and we'll want to click to get the goods.

2. SHARE A PERSONAL STORY

….and allude to it in the title. You can also bring the curiosity piece in here. ---- Ie. "The surprising thing that happened the night I broke up with my boyfriend..." or "Last week I cried for 2 hours straight, here's why..." - Also, people love personal stories. They make us feeling connected to you. They should be a key in your messaging - however personal and vulnerable you get is up to you.

3. USE NUMBERS.

People love numbers. They just do. ---- Ie. "5 ways to feel sexier." or "10 tips to heal anxiety."

You can ask yourself, once you have an idea for a post... "Would this make me want to click on this? Would I feel intrigued?" - If not, go back to the drawing board.

Also - don't get too in your head or perfectionist about this.
I like to take a deep breath as Im creating a title, connect with my heart, and ask my angels what a good header would be. I choose what feels best as it comes through. I don't agonize. If you're spending more than a few minutes creating a post title, you're too in your head. Just pick what feels right, and go create or do something else magical with your time.

So there you have it, a few ways to spice up your titles, so the people you can serve actually CLICK on your work, and here what you have to say!

A common 'mistake' soul-centred entrepreneurs make...

A common pattern for healers + lightworkers when they first start to share their offerings and wisdom is this:

Being general as fuck.

Hahaha. But seriously. Yes you can help alot of people. Yes you can help pretty much anyone with the tools you have.

But that's not going to throttle your business and work forward.

Because when we talk to EVERYONE, not wanting to leave anyone out and thereby making the topics of our videos and posts very general... no one knows were talking to them. And they dont feel a connection.

Examples of being general:

♥ How to find deeper self love
♥ The benefits of meditating
♥ How to shift your self talk

These examples have great info in them, life changing information.

But they could apply to an 18 year old girl fresh out of high school, a single mom of 35, a man who works a corporate job in his 50s, all with completely different goals and unique challenges.

You might get some clicks, but you wont have that experience with someone where they are thinking 'Wow I feel like they're talking directly to me'.

It's that feeling right there: 'I feel like they're talking directly to me' that makes people want to reach out, work with you, and buy from you.

So what to do?

Decide who you're talking to. This is called your niche. Your niche is your group of ideal clients, who you tailor your work towards.

Choosing a niche confuses a lot of people.

It shouldn't.

Your niche is very very likely- you, 3 or 4 years ago.

Where were you at 3 or 4 years ago (or even 1 year ago or 8 years ago depending on your life)?

That person is very likely your ideal client.

What were your goals? Your challenges then? What did you need to hear?

Speak to that person. That's your ideal client 99% of the time.

So those general posts from above might become:

♥ How to find self love when you're going through a painful breakup
♥ Why I wish I started meditating in my 20s
♥ How I went from insecure to confident girl boss by shifting my self talk

The content in the articles will be very similar, but the focus is now tailored to an ideal client in these examples.

The new examples above would likely all speak to a woman in her 20s on a (probably new) spiritual path who desires to feel confident, get over a breakup, and have an epic career.

Does this make sense to you?

So - your steps here, if you've been caught in the cycle of being too general are:

♥ Identify where you were at a few years ago
♥ What does that person dream of, have challenges with, and need to hear?
♥ Tailor your blogs and articles to that person

And if you're scared of losing people who you could help, I'll leave you with this quote:

"Speak to many, attract no one. Speak to one, attract many.'

People outside of your ideal client will likely still come to you and benefit from your work, because they love your vibe and still get wisdom from your work.

But you'll actually be able to create a successful business from this work now, now that you know who you're talking to.

What we can learn from aliens...

If some loving 'aliens' were looking at this planet right now, and they could see all the energetics before them...

Well... they might be inclined to first comment, "Well, this is a hot mess." 😝

...And theeeen, if someone asked them the question, "Hey - you see what's happening here? What do you think this planet needs? What would be of the highest value right now, that humans could offer each other?"

They would say: "Well, anything that helps these souls remember who they are, would be of very high value. If a human could offer another human a healing of the heart, a clearing of cellular memory - anything that helps them remember that we are all one, and that love is their true nature - well, that would be of very high value - the highest value."

And now... let's take it down, right onto the surface of the earth.

Let's witness hundreds of thousands, if not - millions, of souls who offer that very same energy. Healers, at heart, who help others remember who they truly are.

And most of these beings are running the story - "This work is not valuable. People wouldn't value it deeply, and therefore wouldn't pay me.'

That's right - the ones who are offering the MOST valuable energetic exchange right now on this planet...

Those who are offering healing + activation, through coaching, teaching, energy work, nutritional support, art, music, etc...

The ones with possibly the MOST NEEDED energy at this time...

Are walking around with the complex of "This is not an actual offering. This is not tangible. This is too etheric. This isn't what people would really want to pay for (ie value)."

What a crazy world we live in.

So, my dear, my magickal, fierce, powerful friend...

If this is you...

If you've been walking around subconsciously or consciously undermining your gifts, feeling fear or doubt around their value, and playing it small because you just keep doubting the power that is YOU...

QUIT IT!

Will you, right here, right now, DECLARE, that you are a carrier of the most valuable energy on the planet right now? The energy of awakening and love?

Will you decide it's worthy? Worthy of your time, your focus, and worthy of MONEY? Yes I said it. Money. The stuff that when someone gives you, really they're just saying "I value what you offer."

Will you honour that you are holding the GOLDEN GOODS, the hottest thing out there right now?

LOVE! AWAKENING! DIAMOND LIGHT! ACTIVATION!

Because when you do, you will feel:

• Confident

• Like the bad-ass you are

• Rich AF 'cause you've got the golden goods

• Excited to share

• Connected to your soul star essence

3 Keys to Making a Living as a Healer

What does it really take to make a living as a healer? What does it really take, to have a business whose number one goal is to serve the planet - while welcoming in support + abundance of all kinds to help you with that mission?

A massive list of followers? Stellar photography? Luck?

No, no, and no.

Over the past 6.5 years, I’ve been a full-time spiritually-based entrepreneur, and let me tell you, the road has not always been easy. But it’s been worth it.

I used to have a vision. I would travel the world while supporting women on their spiritual paths. And 6 years ago, I held this vision, but I was not living it. I was living close to downtown, in a city (Im a nature girl through and through so this was not my ideal) - not even able to join my friends for a dinner out, because I couldn’t afford it. I managed to get by on around $1000 a month.

I could have gone out and gotten a corporate job, with my fresh university degree in Finance.

But that wasn’t even on the table, in my mind. I had awoken to my calling, and there was no stopping it.

I had to hold the vision for years before it became a reality. I now am able to travel like I always knew I would, all the time, while holding space for incredible women who are here to change this planet, just like I am.

But how did this happen? From the vision, to the realization of that vision, what were the keys?

Here are 3 of my non-negotiables when anchoring your vision of a soul-based business into reality:

1) Perseverance

I have failed. And I picked myself up, and tried again. Many, many times. I have launched a group program I spent weeks preparing, to have 2 people sign up. I have worked on a a crystal jewelry line and shared artistic photography + graphics from that line, working tirelessly to bring the vision to life, to hear crickets on social media. I have said the wrong thing publicly, and had to deal with the effects of my own poorly-worded statements. I have felt enormous amounts of fear while launching an offering, and had to pause and integrate past-life fears coming up, in order to continue.

And I kept going. There has only been 1 time on this journey that I seriously considered quitting. But even then I didn’t. Because if you ask any successful entrepreneur what it takes to ‘make it’, they’ll echo me - Perseverance. I’ve seen too many women go for it, and then, when some fear comes up, or the outcome they wanted didn’t happen, they quit.

You are not a quitter! You are a fierce badass meant to change the frequency of this planet. And you will. So what if you fail a time, or two, or even ten? That just makes you wiser, and more courageous for the next time. Eventually, something will click. And you’ll be glad you kept going.

2) Wealth Consciousness

Potentially, the most important piece to receiving for your work is to anchor in wealth consciousness. In your subconscious, you have hundreds of beliefs that tell you things like “Money is hard to come by”, “Intuitives and creatives can’t make good money” and maybe even “Rich people are bad.” In order to unravel years of negative conditioning around money, we need to focus on changing these beliefs.

How? Through journaling, meditation, affirmations, prayer, ritual, reading books about money, taking care of our finances, and more. I will go into this in much greater detail in our free 6 day course on the Divine Feminine in Business.

3) Self-Worth

I’ve seen women with grainy photography, and lacklustre websites, bring in the big bucks. I’ve seen women with huge audiences struggle to pay their rent. Part of this is what I’ve outlined above - wealth consciousness - but if we take wealth consciousness a step-deeper, it’s all about self-worth. Do you see value in your very being? Do you see value in your work? Do you love yourself no matter what, no matter who signs up or how much money is in the bank? When we value ourselves, when we know our light, and our worth, people can feel that. Our energy becomes magnetic.

This is why these women with smaller followings can create wealth in their lives… their energy is magnetic, because they truly value themselves, their lives and their work. This is an ongoing process… But when you are feeling insecure about yourself and your work, and you have a choice to post on Social Media, or go into the forest to meditate… go to the forest. Reconnect with your brilliance before you share your message. It will change the frequency of your work + invite in people who see your value too.
